Never. The card installs into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, already on their phone. For the rare devices without a Wallet, a web card with an offline barcode is provided automatically.

I already have paper stamp cards — how do I migrate?

Keep both during a transition period: customers show their paper card, you transfer their stamps onto the digital card in one scan, and the paper card phases itself out.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

You can export your customer base and statistics before cancelling. After the account is closed, data is deleted in accordance with our privacy policy.

Are Google review or social-media bonus points automatically verified?

Accepted Answer

No. RewardMe.Now does not have access to the Google Reviews API or the Instagram / TikTok APIs that would confirm a review was posted or an account was followed. Depending on your program settings, the bonus can be granted immediately on tap (honor system), only after the customer confirms the action in their portal (self-attest), or after your manual approval in the "Bonus requests" section of your dashboard (merchant approval). Choose the mode that matches your trust level.

How do I add a card to Apple Wallet?

Exactly like an Air Canada boarding pass: scan the store's QR code, tap "Add", and the card appears in your iPhone's Wallet app. No app to install, no account to create — it takes less than 5 seconds.

Does it work without Internet?

Accepted Answer

Yes, 100%. Once installed, your card works fully offline: no top-up, no WiFi, no data plan needed. Show it at the counter, in a mall or in a basement — the barcode always displays.

I get a notification without having an app?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Notifications come directly from Apple's and Google's servers — the same technology as your boarding pass alerts. The store writes to your lock screen without any third-party app installed on your phone.

I lost my phone — do I lose my points?

Accepted Answer

No. If you created an account on rewardme.now/portal, all your cards reinstall in one click on your new phone. Otherwise, just re-scan the store's QR code: your balance is kept server-side and your existing card is restored.

Question 12

I earn points for leaving a review or following the store — is it verified?

Accepted Answer

It depends on how the store has configured their program. The bonus may be credited right away when you tap the link (honor system), only after you confirm the action in your customer portal (self-attest), or after the merchant manually approves it. Either way, only one bonus is granted per action per store — no matter how many times you tap the link.
